2008/2009 NC JCI Senate President:
Tracy Culler - Senator# 64534
"Leading By Example"
Greetings,
I would like to welcome you to the
North Carolina JCI Senate Web site. We hope you will find this
information useful to learn more about the North
Carolina JCI (Junior Chamber International) Senate and its objectives.
The North Carolina
JCI Senate exists for the fellowship of its members and to
assist the North Carolina Jaycees in their local communities and support of our NC Jaycee Priority Projects:
The NC Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill
The NC Jaycee Outpatient Treatment Facility at the Duke Cancer Center in Durham
The NC Jaycee Cottage at the Boy and Girls Homes of NC at Lake Waccamaw
Annually the North Carolina
JCI Senate contributes thousands of dollars to the North Carolina
Jaycees as well as proudly sponsor the NC Jaycee Family Of the Year Program and our Kyle Byrd Memorial Scholarship to be awarded to two deserving NC Teens.
Our Senate
members also spend hundreds of volunteer hours assisting local Jaycee
chapters and members across the state, helping physically on projects, like the Craven County Jaycees every August with the Nationally recognized Cystic Fibrosis Telethon in New Bern (which raises over $300,000 annually), Program Training, Teaching writing and speaking skills, etc.
Leadership Training through
Community Service and personal growth is what Jaycees are
best known for.
The North Carolina
JCI Senate is an active member of the United States JCI Senate
and is one of the largest Senate states in the nation. Both the
United States JCI Senate and the United States Jaycees have
recognized us nationally for our work in assisting the NC Jaycees and our Great State!
We welcome all
who have been awarded a JCI Senatorship and invite you to
help us start "Leading By Example" as we Return the Favor
to the North Carolina Jaycees and our local communities.
Sincerely,
Tracy Culler
Senator# 64534
